Women's Ministry

Our women's program opened in the spring of 2022, filling a much-needed void in the Athens area for a safe, faith-based recovery residence specifically for women struggling with addiction issues.

About Fresh Wind Women

Fresh Wind Recovery Ministry is a residential recovery ministry in Athens, Georgia serving those struggling with substance abuse and addiction. Our leadership is composed of ordained ministers, trained counselors, gifted educators, and many talented volunteers. With an emphasis on prayer, healing of spiritual wounds, and renewal of the mind, Fresh Wind utilizes a Biblical approach to recovery. Fresh Wind Women is a 12-month program in which residents progress through phases during their stay. The first 60 days of the women’s recovery program are spent in house and participating in instructor-led classes 4 hours a day in addition to meetings, prayer, counseling, Bible studies, and church services. After the first 60 days, the women’s program residents “phase up”, gain employment, and invest in their recovery by paying program fees. Under the direction of Fresh Wind Recovery Ministry, Fresh Wind Women has been helping women in the Athens area find freedom from addiction and substance abuse since 2021.
